CNC Machining for a Brake Caliper Bracket

Tier 1 Brake Systems Supplier, France

Brake caliper bracket machining focused on setup sequence, tooling, mounting features, and customer-defined component inspection requirements.

Account owner: PiPrecision Engineering Team

The Challenge

The brake caliper bracket required a review of the machining sequence and the features used to locate the component in its assembly. The process needed to address the controlled drawing, including the mounting interfaces and any critical dimensions identified by the customer. Manufacturing cost and inspection effort depend on those requirements. The review therefore connects the order of operations to the mounting geometry and the checks needed before the part is released for final inspection.

Our Solution

The manufacturing approach reviewed tooling and the order of machining operations, with in-process checks directed at the specified critical features. Inspection requirements were considered alongside the process sequence so that component acceptance could be assessed against the drawing. Brake-system validation and any required automotive supplier qualifications remain customer-defined project requirements. The RFQ should identify any required supplier certification, first-article documentation, and material traceability before the manufacturing scope is accepted.
